SRC - SalesPerson Restrict Query Customers

Do you want your salespersons to only be able to query customers for whom they are designated the salesperson? With SRC combined with SPW (Sales Invoice Passwording) you can set up each salesperson with a descriptive name the same as the salesperson name used on the customer record. In the main Sales Invoicing Processing screen, when the user selects Query Customer and selects a particular customer, the customer information will be displayed only if the user is that customer's salesperson. Otherwise, an error message will appear.

To preclude the user from maintaining the customer on the fly with F7-Maintain, and temporarily changing the salesperson name, the enhancement RPW (Accounts Receivable Passwording) can be used with the particular salesperson restricted from being able to maintain customers.

If SRD (Salesperson Restrict Query Document) is also active, Query Customer will only be allowed at the main processing level and not in the lower-level Processing Options menu.

In order for SRC to work, SPW must be active and each salesperson must be set up. Please refer to SPW documentation. All individuals using Peachtree will then be required to enter their password when using Peachtree. Those persons who are not to be restricted in the customers they can query must have the password flag "Change Activation Codes" set to "Y". The restrictions of SRC will not apply to these persons.

This enhancement also requires RLS Lookup Customers by Salesperson to be active. After activation of RLS, you must be sure to rebuild keys as documented in the RLS documentation.
