| SCQ Sales Custom Quantities |
Do you sell your products by the feet or yard? If you're manually calculating the difference between how your customers order items and how you stock items, you can use SCQ - Sales Custom Quantities on your invoices to do the multiplying for you!
To use SCQ - Sales Custom Quantities, simply enter a numeric value in the Unit of Measure field on Invoice type documents. The Unit of Measure amount will automatically be multiplied times the Quantity Ordered and the value entered into the Quantity Shipped, as shown below:

When the Quantity Shipped field is calculated automatically by SCQ - Sales Custom Quantities, you cannot make direct changes to this field, it can only be updated by entering a new Unit of Measure or Quantity Ordered. If the Unit of Measure does not start with a numeric value, then Quantity Shipped will not be calculated for you and you can enter a value into this field, as usual.
As shown in the example above, you can also include alpha characters in the Unit of Measure field after your numeric entry, without affecting calculations. However, the field must start with a number if you want the Quantity Shipped calculated automatically.
You can use SCQ - Sales Custom Quantities to calculate decimal values by entering a decimal amount in the Unit of Measure. For instance, if Unit of Measure is .5 and Quantity Ordered is 100, Quantity Shipped will be set to 50. When this invoice is posted a backorder will be created unless you have enhancement SCB - Selective Backorders or SNB - Cancel All Backorders.
SCQ - Sales Custom Quantities only affects sale type transactions on Invoice documents. It does not affect the quantity shipped on Orders and Quotes.
If desired, you can suppress the Unit of Measure, Quantity Ordered, and/or Quantity Shipped from printing on invoices by creating a Peachtree Customized Document Format, or by purchasing a PeachPro Custom Invoice.
