Are you wasting valuable keystrokes and time, re-entering Item Type and Department when in Maintain Inventory Items program? Normally when you have completed updating an inventory item, you have to re-enter the Item Type and Department, which is usually the next available item in Inventory. It is easy to lose track of the last item updated when entering large batches of data changes.

With INM - Next Item in Maintain Items, the next inventory item is automatically selected when using Maintain Inventory Items. This can save many keystrokes when you are updating items.

After installing INM - Next Item in Maintain Inventory, and an item has been updated, the cursor is placed at Item Number, instead of Item Type, so you can quickly accept next item automatically displayed.

When the last item in a Department is chosen, the next available item to come up, is the first item in the next Department.

If you want to select a different Item Number than the automatically selected item, press F2 and choose a different Item. To go to a different Department or Item Type than the automatically selected item, press Esc to backspace and enter your selection.
